Eagle County Geography

Eagle County is a unique place to serve.

Our communities are spread out, our terrain is challenging, and weather can change quickly.

From remote areas to busy corridors, deputies are expected to cover a large and diverse

landscape—often with limited resources.

In a county like ours, response times and coverage aren’t just numbers—they’re shaped by

distance, conditions, and staffing. That’s why it’s so important that we approach rural policing with a strategy that reflects those realities. I’ve worked in this environment, and I understand the challenges our deputies face every day. I also know how important it is for our community to feel confident that help is on the way when they need it.

As Sheriff, I will focus on smart staffing, strong communication, and making sure our deputies are positioned to respond effectively across the entire county.

Public safety in Eagle County requires a thoughtful, local approach—and that’s exactly what I

will bring to this role.
