Hi, my name is Rebecca Anderson, and I’m running for Eagle County Sheriff.
I’ve dedicated my career to serving this community in law enforcement. I began my career with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and later continued my service with the Vail Police Department, where I currently serve as a Sergeant.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of roles, including serving as a K9 handler at both agencies and currently leading the Crisis Negotiation Team. Those experiences have shaped how I approach this profession—with a focus on communication, teamwork, and making thoughtful decisions in high-pressure situations.
I’ve worked alongside incredible deputies, officers, and community members, and I’ve seen firsthand what strong leadership, collaboration, and a positive culture can accomplish. I’ve also seen where we have opportunities to grow and improve.
My campaign is built on three core values: community, collaboration, and culture. I believe that by investing in our people, strengthening partnerships, and staying connected to the community we serve, we can build a Sheriff’s Office that reflects the best of Eagle County.
I’m running for Sheriff because I care deeply about this community and the people who serve it—and I believe we can continue moving forward together.
